The ancient Ogham alphabet was believed to harness magical properties of specific trees held sacred by the ancient Celts. Symbolising eternal love, linking the mind, body and spirit, the Triquetra also represents the Triple Goddess (maiden, mother and crone), and was later adopted as the Trinity Knot, blessing and invoking the Holy Trinity of Christianity.
